Heya, we can't really discuss ideas here since there are no comment chains, but if you submit an issue on the repository page then I'm happy to discuss. The reason I wouldn't put it into the object display pie is because the Shade Smooth/Flat operations actually change the mesh data, while other options in that menu do not.
I love the plugin, it speeds up my work a lot! Would love it if you could add the possibility to turn on/off Depth of Field and adjust F-Stop from the camera pie menu Thanks for such a good addon!
The latest version still can’t solve the issue where my custom settings aren’t saved after closing Blender. Every time it reverts to default checked options. This is so frustrating that I had to revert to using version 1.6.8. I’ve tried every version after that, and none of them can save the settings properly.
Cool add-on
i added origin to world center option to mine now its perfect
Must to Have Addon!! However, maybe you forgot the Save button in the Ctrl + S menu :((
Heya, not quite, although you may not agree with this but I made the choice to leave the "Save" functionality for when you tap Ctrl+S (without moving your mouse). I know it's a bit controversial to "overload" key combos like this (it does a different thing depending on if you move your mouse or not), but in my opinion this works well since people would be used to tapping Ctrl+S from every other software anyways.
Version 1.6.13, the plugin does not work properly when double-clicking to open a .blend file. It works normally when opening Blender software and then dragging the file in.
Heya, I'm not sure I understand, this add-on doesn't have anything to do with opening .blend files from your file system. You can set the blender version associated with .blend files in Blender's preferences. Also keep in mind that files can have workspaces in them, which can have add-on filtering enabled, which might be disabling this add-on.
I've been using this for quite a long time and it's a huge time saver as it makes many functions more in-reach. Honestly never had an issue with it, even years ago, and I'm glad to see that it's brought here to Extensions and updated.
This addon is great, but I’m experiencing an issue. I disable the Pie menus I don’t want to use and save the settings. However, when I close and reopen Blender, they all become active again. Could you help me with this?
Heya, I'd recommend to open a bug report, but my hands are fairly tied as this has been happening for a small number of users and I've done everything I could to prevent it, but I just can't reproduce the issue to actually find the root cause.
Rating 5 stars as this addon is a must have, but I have this error since the last update: "4.3\extensions\blender_org\viewport_pie_menus\hotkeys.py", line 170, in draw_kmi depress=kmi.properties.on_drag, ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'on_drag'
Heya, thanks for letting me know. This is quite strange and should never happen, but the keymap API is so fragile, I'm not too surprised. I can add code to somewhat account for this case and not error but even then, at least one keymap probably won't work. Might wanna open a bug report, cause I'm not sure how you got it into that state!
I can't live without this add on. Thank you very much for your contribution.
One issue in the new version is that I can't find the viewport names from the search menu. As a vim user, I was really got used to quickly open the search bar and quickly type the viewport that I'm looking for. Unfortunately in the new version, this feature is not available any more.
First of all, I would like to thank you for the excellent tool you created to make using the program much more fluid on a daily basis. I would like to know if it is possible to create a separate Pie Menu so that we can access only the Shade Flat and Shade Smooth functions, facilitating quick switching between them. Currently these options are in Object Display > Shading Operators, but it is still not as fluid as it would be if they had an exclusive menu or if these options were in the Object Display menu itself. There is a space available in the top right-hand corner when you access Object Display, where you could put Shade Smooth and in the bottom left-hand corner the option Shade Flat, or the other way around, just a suggestion.
