Hey, you simply have to drag your mouse while holding Ctrl+S for the pie menu to show up. It's in the documentation.
I like this version and appreciate the ability to disable which menus I want as a pie menu, but why is the Ctrl+A menu no longer able to be a pie menu anymore? I personally found this one to be one of the most useful as a pie menu, particularly for super quickly applying scale and rotation. As soon as I updated this extension, that particular pie menu is longer available.
Heya, I can't reproduce this issue, and the review system isn't a good substitute for bug reports. Please open an issue if you want to help me get to the bottom of this. Thanks!
The important Alt-Q Shortcut is missing. This is by me the mainuse of this addon.
This is an important workflow & quality of life add-on for me. It has recently undergone some major changes which I objected to at first, but after adjusting to it, I can see the vision and I appreciate the thought and work that is going into it. I'm using the latest version (1.5.3) and it's good.
Every reopening Blender,Plug-in shortcuts are reset in 1.5.3。but it isnt happened in 1.5.0。I don't know why
Hey, I can't reproduce this issue, could you open a bug report so I can get to the bottom of it?
I've used these menus for years and they are great BUT. Splitting up the Alt-q menu into 3 different menus is not a good idea. It wasn't too crowded and had the most essential view controls on it for quick access. Splitting it apart gets away from the helpfulness of the add-on and makes me need to learn 3 new shortcuts and menus to replace the one that was fine as it was. If it aint broke don't fix it. I get you want to update the add-on but don't over think it. And don't take away functionality.
Hey, thanks for the feedback. You can read more about the reasons and thought process behind this change here. Feedback is still welcome! You can also download v1.3.2 of the old add-on for the original experience, as I believe it's going to continue functioning for a long time, since it's compatible with Blender 4.3 which isn't even out yet.
Bug Alert!!
Outliner> Editor switch (shortcut)> outliner> outliner type> belender file This pie section opens DATA API instead of BLENDER FILE mode!
Thank you for your Add on but I think adding more complexity does not necessarily beneficial for the usability! I mean one step pie menu was wonderful and enjoyable to use. Now it feels like using the default menus are faster in some cases!! (above example)
Thanks, you make good points. I'll try making those into drop-down lists instead of pie menus, I think it will feel a lot nicer. And I'll fix the small bug of course. Keep an eye on the next version!
Thanks for the great work Demeter! the CTRL+SPACEBAR (without drag) in the preferences detached window (it works if the preferences is in an area inside the main window) raises an exception!
Thanks, good find. The fix is done on my end, will be included in the next version!
Have bug!!!!!
Many apologies, it's fixed now, thanks for raising alarms, deservedly so.
This addon is so useful. But the recent constant updates are mostly buggy. ctrl s drag not only froze Blender but my whole pc. Had to restart it. Please test the addon before updating.
Apologies mate, a small cleanup level change I made just before pushing 1.5.2 resulted in spawning pies with infinite recursion, you're right I should've caught it. Should be fixed in 1.5.3. Thanks for letting me know!
The animation pie couldn't be opened after the update, so I reverted to version 1.5.0. By the way, after the update, all the previously set shortcuts were reset, and the menus I had disabled were automatically re-enabled. So sad.
Heya. The animation pie should still open on Shift+Space+MouseDrag. So just tapping Shift+Space will now just Play. Lmk if that works and what you think of it.
And some hotkey preferences not being saved was a bug that should be fixed in 1.5.2, hopefully!
This add-on has been around for a long time and is recommended for beginners to blenders. Try using it anyway.
What surprised me this time is that by pressing the X key in the Outliner, you can see the user of the selected object.
As an example of how to use it, you can also see which user (e.g. in the object or node tree) a certain material is used by. (This also works if you change the display type to 'BLENDER FILE').
This function is very useful for organising files, so if you frequently pass blender files around, please take a look at it.
It would be wonderful to add a pie menu that includes numeric keypad shortcuts for numpad-less keyboards such as the 75% Keyboard.
There is something like this built into Blender already, if you go to Preferences->Keymap->Set "Grave Accent/Tile Action" to "Navigate". Then pressing the ` key should give you a pie menu that does numpad 0, del, 1, 3, 7, 9. Other than that, the new Shift+Alt+C camera pie should cover Ctrl+0. Is it something else you're missing? Or does this option not show up because you're using one of the preset keymaps? I might be able to get around that.
Ctrl + S no longer brings up the radial pie save/open menu anymore in this version (1.5.3) Now it resorts to the old way of bringing up the save file window (or just saves the existing file if already previously saved). I feel this is a major step backwards, as I really enjoyed all the save, open, import and export options in one handy location. Please bring this behavior back (or at least, make this a feature that can be enabled in the add-on preferences!) I thought maybe disabling the Window - File option would restore this, but alas, it does not. If it's not broken, please don't fix it!
