this add on sucks materials does not get imported very well please improve this add on then i will give 3 or maybe 4 stars
Very good job! thank you
It works, even on the Mac. Still a lot to do.
Problems
Nice to have
Overall a huge benefit. Lets hope it get improved. Would pay for it.
I tried to support multiple UVs but Blender does not support this. Only one of the UV Maps will be used. In .max files also boxmapping and 2d mapping (similar to greasepencil) is stored in 3 dimensional UVW maps, blender only supports two vectors (U, V) thats why only the supported UV map will be imported.
It still needs some work in material / texture importing, however it works flawlessly and it fills a gap, it's amazing, great job!
Corona material does not work. It imports the geometry but no material, or a material that has nos maps and no similar setting.
it works quite nicely for most of the archive I have a former 3ds max user , it may have some problems with new versions I believe but hey , you don't have to install 3ds max in most cases , very excited for updates
great
Sadly, this much anticipated extension failed to work properly for me. I attempted to import a 3DSMax2012 file into Blender LTS 4.2LTS on Win10. Although the outliner listed the objects properly, every geometry object was merely represented as a point in the proper location. I had high hopes for this functionality, but as of this attempt the extension is of very little use to me. (BTW - Is there any documentation or support for this extension?)
Sensacional isso parabens
That amazing, I have a bunch of old files that, before this addon, I had to open max export in FBX and then open in Blender, now I can get it right away, I can take advantage the best of the two worlds (With the knowledge I have on each) Keep up the good work
Awesome! I added support for Points, if you don't mind. It is committed in Github.
