Addon works pretty well without having to rely on 3ds max. The issue is that it doesn't import objects with modifiers. but atleast we have some option which is wonderful.

This should usually work. Is there an error output in system console? Would be nice if you can use the issues page, best would be to upload the not working file

This thing is really nice and an unbelievable help! But I've noticed it won't import shapes inside a .max file. I have an old .max file that I used to organize shapes for moldings profiles, the addon does import meshes from the file, but it skips the spline shapes. Is it possible to accommodate the add-on for this type of import?

As the description says only meshes are supported yet, there is no documentation online about where the shape info is located in the file. You can upload the file on my issues page so I can have a look, but I doubt that I can solve it without any information about the parameters I should search for.

works great on single object files, struggles with complex scenes.

The addon works fine, but for some reason the skeleton of the model is exported as a set of empties instead of bones. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong.

Bones are not supported yet, the empties are dummy objects if they are plain axis. Biped objects are also empties but displays as an arrow ;)

Works great when importing the model, but some textures are missing. The good thing is that the UV Mapping is there so you can just add the textures manually. Great for ArchViz since a lot of models you can get online are just in .max format.

It works flawlessly, other then it linking textures. I have imported my old maps saves and it imports all but textures are not linked at all to the materials. Also i would love to see the equivalent of this addon for maya saves :)
