Great addon! I still get a bit confused by the folder behavior with masks and stuff (somehow it works different as I expect after years of working with Substance Painter) but I can't pinpoint on what... but besides that, it's great and I'm sure with more time it will be even greater.
Such a complex and unintuitive add-on needs better documentation to gain traction. Documentation is not a burden or an expense; it is an investment in support. That is the difference between retail and wholesale.
Sorry if the documentation is not completed yet. There are some discussions in the Discord to make the documentation less burdensome, but it will still take time since most of the contributors, including me, still only work on this addon in our free time.
The Best.
Awesome add-on! It allowed me to texture paint in Blender because the system is much more understandable/intuitive. It currently lacks undo and redo functionality, and personally, I cannot paint while in render mode. Still, the add-on and the developer are fantastic. Thank you very much for this one!
Thank you! Currently Blender can only register brush strokes to the undo stack if you're in texture paint mode. It's a known issue of Blender that hasn't been resolved.
I suggest you only change any properties under object mode and treat texture paint mode only for painting strokes.
Great add-on
good
Lost couple hours of progress after switching tabs in blender.
Sorry for that. Saving your work frequently can help avoid situations like this in the future.
Also, it's likely you used ucupaint only in texture paint mode. This is a known quirk in Blender, while in texture paint mode, only paint strokes are recorded in the undo history. Switching tabs can automatically change the mode and viewport, so you can mistakenly undo all your ucupaint operations in one go.
My suggestion is to use texture paint mode solely for painting strokes, and always switch back to object mode once you're done.
nice
When i want to export the texture or combine layers ucupaint give me a error and i must save each layer individualy.
