Hi! First of all, thank you for the amazing add-on — it saves a lot of clicks :)

I wanted to suggest a small improvement: Currently, custom colors can be configured in the N-Panel, which is great. However, the Pie Menu (which I mainly use for speed, since it’s less convenient for me to keep switching and scrolling through N-Panel tabs) does not reflect those custom colors.

It would be fantastic if either the Pie Menu colors were automatically synchronized with the colors set in the N-Panel, or if the colors could be customized separately in the add-on preferences.

This would make the workflow even faster and more consistent.

I really appreciate your work!

Thank you for the review :D There are two pie menus. The one that is by default called with "d" has hardcoded colors. The one that is by default called with "z" has synchronized colors with the menu in the N-Panel. Caveat is that the one called with "z" does not have directional selection. I have some ideas how to solve this problem and unify both menus in future updates. Might take a while, though, as I am currently swamped with contract work.

Really helpful. Seems bugged for some reason. Ex. 1 Set color is #9B9B9B. When applied it turns #545454 Ex. 2 Set color is #642F2F. When applied it turns #200707

Thanks for reporting the bug.

Will have to investigate for the next update.

Hi Big thanks for this add-on. I have been using my own script, but this workflow seems better.

I have two suggestion though, which I don't know if it is possible, as I struggled with the same issue in my script.

The issue is that I can't see color changes live when I adjust the color from the Color Wheel. If I change the Frame/Node color from the Color Wheels that opens from the N-Panel, I can see the color change immediately. But if I use the wheel from the pie (or use my own script), I have to first adjust the color, and then “assign” it.

I don't know if this just something that is not possible in Blender for some reason.

Hi and thanks for the review. :D

Yes, immediate changes would be great. I think it might be possible but I am not completely sure. Deffinately something to keep in mind for the next version.

Dearest amazing dev, Here's my suggestions do with them as you will, I DEMAND MORE COLORS lol I was gonna ask if you could please add a small button above the "Copy from active" button that's to "Select Custom" which would bring up a color picker but then I realized that'd be the perfect replacement for the honestly useless other pie lol make the other pie into another set of custom colors separate from the first set of colors and remove the shortcut i'd have it as a middle button like i said before and keeping the name "Precise colors" as you could then add the color picker at the bottom of the pie and have the rest custom colors, which in my opinion is a perfect fit that ties the name together. Sidenotes idk about others and i AM still a noob at blender technically but i use the "Quick color pie" as it looks better than the precise pie and i've even set it to Z and the windows key respectively lol best extension though fr this should be standard.

Hi Joseph, thank you for the Review. :D I would like to have more colors myself. Unfortunately at the moment it is not possible to change the colors of icons in Blender at the moment. There are only a couple of hardcoded ones which can not be changed with an extension. Therefore I have no way of implementing a more colors in a way that the use can also see which field in the pie menu is which color. The only way to do this is the way the "preciese color menu" is doing it at the moment but in this case i lose the ability to quick select. I believe that the Blender developers are currently working on implementing some sort of possiblitiy to change colors in user interface elements and when it becomes possible more colors are on my list.

For further discussion and/or feature requests please go tot the "Refer Issues" link right next to the description of the addon.

But why are there two shortcut keys and can’t select one of them?

Thank you for the review. :D

"D" calls the quick color pie. It brings up hardcolded colors. This menu can be used with directional selection. Directional selection is when you hold "D" and just quickly swipe the mouse in the direction of the pie item you want to select. This is very fast.

The "Z" hotkey brings up the "Precise Colors Pie". The colors in this menu are not hardcoded. You can customize the colors in this menu but directional selection does not work. The Colors of the "Precise Color Pie" can also be set in the side bar (often known as N-Panel) of the Node editor.

You can customize your shortcut keys in the Addons preferences.

As soon as the Blender Python API gives me a way to have customizable colors and directional selection I will merge the two menus into a single one. But at the moment it is not possible to have these two features in one pie menu.
