Great
THIS IS THE ADD-ON I HAVE BEEN SEARCHING FOR!!!!!
Seriously though, I have thousands of backlogged PBRs that I dreaded having to make asset libraries for. I found this and BAM (pun intended), it takes just a few clicks to set all those libraries. Thank you.
Thank you for your pleasant feedback, be sure to tell your friends about my addon, I will be glad if people can simplify their lives, because that's why I created this addon.
By the way, I already have some new developments that I want to integrate into BAM and need to fix some bugs. I hope that I will find time for this soon, at least during the New Year holidays ^_^
Would be great to add the preview thumbnail to the material and convert them in materials assets with the thumbnail too ;)
yes, I thought about miniatures earlier and even tried to make them, but I didn't quite succeed.
In fact, BAM already has some secret function for showing thumbnails ;). I did not specifically describe it because the thumbnails were not updated, although it seems to be working after my last fixes, or is it because of the new version of blender 4.3, but perhaps also because of the Cycles render.
If you hold down Alt+Ctrl and click on the thumbnail of the material, an expanded window with a large thumbnail will appear ;)
Fantastic addon! A great time saver! It works well for quickly importing textures created in Substance.
Thanks for the feedback Matthias. I noticed a bug, apparently I accidentally deleted something in the process.
In the found materials filter, if materials are already present in the scene, they should be automatically unchecked after scanning the folder, so that only new materials are created by default.
Do you think it would be more convenient to return this or add an additional button to check the materials in the filter that are already present in the scene?
You know Quixel / FAB lib that you can download for free...!? [BAM] AutoMat is the perfect option/addon to create all materials, mark them and save in your asset browser. Best thing is when you use cleverly the naming in the panel you can sort your materials by size 2k, 4k, 8k ....
So it makes [BAM] , and you have the perfect library build with AutoMat !
