Hi sorry for the inconvenience, first time i hear about this problem, you may have installed it incorrectly. Here is the proper way of installing extensions :
If this solves your problem, your installation method was wrong somehow. In this case, please consider changing your rating if you like the addon ? :)
If it does not solve your problem, please file an issue here : https://github.com/samytichadou/Auto_Reload_Blender_addon/issues/new This is the proper way to solve your problem !
Thanks !
I love this add on. I use is together with Coatools for cutout style animation. With the "Images inspector" it makes it super easy to edit the parts. Question , was the Images inspector functionally removed from version 3.0.3, for blender 4.2 Lts? It was working before in 4.0 but now the preference section to set the external editor is gone.
Hi thanks for the kind words. Regarding image inspector panel, code was messy, and giving i don't have a lot of time for now to work on the addons, i prefered remove it completely to focus on the auto reload functionalities. For now, you can use image manager (https://github.com/samytichadou/image_manager) which have almost same functions. The goal, when i have some spare time, is to turn it into a proper extension and to clean the code ! Sorry for the inconvenience, hopes this answer your question ! Cheers !
Essential for anyone doing lots of texture work. It's easy to use and does exactly what it says. This is already saving me so much time!
thanks, glad you found it useful :)
that's the way i liked it, thanks a lot, its life saver
you're welcome, thanks for the kind words !
Reloading images has always been a pain, especially when working with 2d animations and lots of texture back n forth. Thankyou, hopefully this comes to native Blender at some point :] Just a minor feedback - I dont know if I need to see the Auto Reload UI at all times in the top corner and it is making the UI busier. I think it could work just as well just in the Image Editor/Movie Editor/Shader Editor and showing the Icon in the Top corner could be an option.
hi thanks for the kind words ! About the presence of the icon, it also serves to reload libraries and cache sequence, so my thought here was "it could be useful from any area type", so instead of having it in multiple places, better to only have it as a small icon in the top bar :) But you're right if one only uses it for images, it could eat some useful topbar space, i'll think about other options for a next version when i have some spare time !
Hi, I tried to install the add-on but it doesn't appear in the add-on list... can't use it, solutions?
