Hello, I love this color. Thank you for create it!

Can you use my NieR theme as base and update your theme with this color to Blender 5.0 version?

I have instructions about how to edit theme use Text Editor inside Blender in my Theme Screenshots.

Example workflow using Text Editor:
  • First, open my theme NieR_Automata_UI in Preferences then Save it as new name, in this case will be YorHa - Operator.
  • Then, inside Text Editor, open your new YorHa - Operator.xml file.
  • For example, to change Window Background (using my theme as base): I will click on theme Background to copy the first 6 numbers/characters Hex color (the last 2 number is Alpha and I won't recommend to change that when using this method but change manually later). In my NieR theme case is #CFC8AE, and I would paste into "Find" in Text Editor.
  • Then I would chose your new Background color, let's say #282724, copy and paste into "Repace" field, and then click Replace All.
  • After that, reset theme to view the change by switch to any another theme, then switch back to your edited theme and any change in .xml file will update.
  • That's workflow using Text Editor
Example workflow using Preferences:
  • For workflow using Preferences, any change in Preferences should be Save in Preferences
  • And then reload .xml file in Text Editor by hover mouse on Text Editor window and use shortcut Alt + R (alternative option in the Text Editor Menu will be Text: Reload)
The benefit of using my theme as base is:

All related color will have the same first 6 Hex color code (minus the last 2 alpha Hex code). Example:

  • UI: Styles: Text Cursor = #D35C31 = Cursor color of Text Editor & Python Console
  • All Theme Space: Header share the same color = #D7D0B6. However, because the relationship in my design principles, Header color of Top Bar & Status Bar will have the same color with UI: Styles: Editor Border = #DDD6BB which is slightly different with other Header color to distinguish between the Boundaries with Tab: Inner color & other window viewport colors.
  • All colors in UI: Number Field, Text, Value Slider are the same.
  • In Image/UI Editor: Wire Edit = #817D6E = Texture Paint/Modifier UVs = #817D6E99 (the 99 last Hex code is alpha, which we should customize manually, not Replace All use Text Editor)
  • Outliner: Filter Match = #ACA290 = Properties: Search Match
  • All Grid color = #B0AA94 are the same in Image/UV Editor, Node Editor, Dope Sheet/Timeline, Graph Editor/Drivers, Nonlinear Animation, Video Sequencer, Movie Clip Editor. Except Grid color of 3D Viewport = #96917E99
  • Alternate Rows all share the same #99917A Hex color in Outliner, Video Sequencer, File/Asset Browser, Spreadsheet
  • All Roundness code roundness="0" are the same, so you can change all at one by replace with code roundness="0.5" for example

...and many more color share the same first 6 Hex code...

In brief, use my theme as base will help you quickly change theme color in batch using Text Editor workflow.

And I would love to use your YorHa - Operator theme in Blender 5.0 too!

Sincerely. 🍀

Hello, Thank you so much for your interest and for these detailed instructions! I’m thrilled that you like the color palette. Your explanation of the workflow using the Text Editor and the specific Hex code relationships (like the Header/Editor Border distinctions) is incredibly helpful. It clearly shows the thought put into the design principles of the NieR theme. Currently, my computer is under maintenance, so I cannot access my files to perform the update to Blender 5.0 right now. I hope you can be patient while I wait for my equipment to be ready. As soon as I'm back online, I'll use your NieR_Automata_UI as a base to create the "YorHa - Operator" version following your method. Best regards
