Thank you Henrik! ✦
This is a thing of beauty. Coming from other tools doing this, I like this implementation more. I only wish it could symmetrize in the direction you're flicking, which I feel is more intuitive. Also, the Mirror modifier should arguably have Clipping turned on by default as I think there's more times you want to clip vertices on the mirrored side.
Thanks for the suggestion, really appreciate it. The current direction was inspired by MeshMachine, but I’ll try to add an option in the preferences so you can choose to symmetrize based on the flick direction.
And yeah, I totally forgot about turning Clipping on by default for the Mirror modifier. Thanks for catching that.
[Your suggestion has been implemented , Thank you.]
Sweet theme, well balanced. But the text in file listings look a tad diffuse. Maybe make it slightly more constrasting.
I assume you're referring to the gray "File Browser" text? I darkened it in latest update (1.1.2) to provide more contrast. If that's not it, or you think a brighter text would be better, let me know and I'll try to fix it. Thanks.
Absolutely astonishing theme.
This extension is ridiculously good. Like Quick Favorites on PEDs ... then some!
For those who are into VIM/Neovim, this feels very familiar and makes great sense, given that Blender, being a modal editor for 2D/3D, shares many principles with VIM and its modes for editing text.
Not only does it provide convenient methods for retrieving operators and bind them to chords (sequential key chains), it enables you to run scripts from a personal snippets folder. This opens up a whole new dimension! Yes, numerous tools already did this for ages, but I think this extension provides the quickest experience, thanks to its chorded keys, but also because you can set the context (mode) for things to be effective or not, e.g. only in 3D View, Edit mode, Object mode, Node editors, ...
Fantastic job, Cyrill. Very thankful for your contribution of this speedup tool.
Been looking for hybrid themes mixing dark/light and this one is great! Thanks for sharing, Cyrill.
Great, but the hover fix implemented in v1.0.8 doesn't seem to work. I still have to click objects to see the preview. (I'm currently on Blender 5.0.0, Arch Linux, Niri.)
Hi, I’ve received your feedback, but unfortunately I don’t have the corresponding system/platform here to test it. If you’re willing, I can send you a fixed version privately through the feedback channel so you can help verify whether the issue is resolved. It will also be easier for us to communicate there. Once the fix is confirmed, I can confidently publish the new version to the extension platform.
Extremely valuable extension, thanks mio!
Ideas for improvement:
Option (default?) to base Shift-Scrollwheel on the original shape rather than the resulting shape, to prevent shape mutation when increasing/decreasing control points.
Respect Proportional Edit state. Might not be possible (?) but nonetheless desirable to be able to reshape just a few selected (defining) lines and have nearby edge loops follow according to PE falloff.
Well crafted theme.
Sweet. I like 'Light' themes that don't use 100% pure white but rather a damped lightness like this one.
Very nice, looks gorgeous on my OLED display. But there's one thing that needs change in my opinion: the selected+active element (vert/edge/face) color doesn't differ from the selected ones. The color needs to be highlighted somehow. But I like it anyway.
Thank you for the review. I've wanted to fix this for quite a long time, but due to personal circumstances I wasn't able to use my computer for an extended period. I've finally managed to fix it now.
Very vibey indeed! I like it. But the gridlines are a bit too intensive.
Totally fantastic! Super useful for a lot of cases such as flying objects.
Excellent, thank you. Fables me why these buttons aren't in all animation editors.
I like it a lot, but a few thoughts:
Would be nice to have an option to disable the auto-renaming, for cases where you only want manual control over this.
The prefixes field is nice, but would be great if you're able to define custom prefixes for specific datablocks, not just a universal prefix. Like how Format Rename does it: https://extensions.blender.org/add-ons/format-rename/
I second 1P2D's suggestion using Alt-F2 for manually doing the renaming.
Very neat! Love it.
Super useful! Personally I'd love the option to only cycle editors via keyboard shortcut, disabling the buttons. A keeper nonetheless.
Even though I have ZenUV, which has more features and some unique ones such as tagging finished UV islands, I'm using this addon as well. I love the UI of this addon and the features it has are solid. But I would love to see UVPackmaster support for the Packing feature.
Great, but I wish it stayed open after CTR-Click and then RMB or ESC would close the pie. Now, if you CTR-Click and release, it will close. (This would make it behave like standard pie menus.)
Hi,
Unfortunately this isn't possible to control from the python API, the keymappung is standard for all pie menus in Blender.
It has potential but I think it can be improved in some ways.
The pie-menu operates a bit odd: I'd prefer to hit hotkey and then it stays open until you either hover away or hit escape key.
I think it should 'go to' (i.e. frame) the selected favorite by default. There's still uses cases for just selecting the object, but in most cases I believe you actually want to 'go' to the object for further editing.
It would be great if the viewport camera position was (re)stored as well.
I also think there's a missed opportunity not defaulting to CTR + ALT + RMB for adding objects.
Man, that is one good feedback! Thanks for this, I'll update the addon as soon as possible.
Yep, this theme has a lot going for it. I like that it meets a few important requirements for themes, one of which is inverting text color in selections such as selected items in the Outliner. A lot of addons misses things like that.
