I really like your plugin and I’ve been looking for something like this for a long time. Blender should definitely include this as a default feature.
However, in some of the tests I ran, I thought there was an issue with the plugin. It seemed like it was pointing to a different location. But it turns out the problem was something else entirely.
To better understand the issue, repeat the following steps: create a “hinge” constraint and observe the rotation between two objects. Enter 0 for the Lower value and 90 degrees for the Upper value. Logically, the object should be constrained between 0 and 90 degrees, right? But that’s not exactly what happens, the object rotates fully to 90 degrees.
The issue here is not related to the plugin at all, but rather to how constraints work. You need to know the starting point of the rotation. Rotations always begin from the Lower angle. Without the visual feedback provided by the plugin, using constraints would be completely confusing. So remember: your object does not start rotating from the midpoint between the two angles, but from the Lower value.
Thanks to the developer for providing such a helpful plugin.
