I liked it a lot. However, you could have the options of aligning the vertices. Put the same spacing.

This addon is a must for anyone using vanilla blender. Actually, this should be part of blender in 4.3. Many great and stable tools for making uv work the basic experience it should be. Can't recommend enough. Even better with the free Zen UV checker.

As for future feature requests. There's only two things this needs to be done.

  1. a UV checker toggle like that of the mentioned Zen UV (doesn't use materials)
  2. a packing menu that includes padding and margins.

a nice to have would be:

  • an options box for the relax button that allows the user to add a number of relax applications

Great work and kudos to Oxicid. Thank you!

Thank you.

  1. To integrate into blender is unrealistic, given what requirements are presented, a lot of ideas can not be realized, and those that are available will be subject to long moderation.

  2. Checker will be added in the next release.

  3. Pack was not implemented, because I myself use UVPackmaster, and the need for such a button I personally do not have. But since the packing algorithm was improved in 3.6, it may be worth adding it.

  4. The current implementation of Relax is bad, but just today approved the SLIM algorithm, that is, everything will be much more correct, and with less stretching.

Amazing. It's like cleaner, less bloated variant of TexTools with Quadrify operator that actually works 🥳

And you didn't miss by comparing this addon to TexTools. I helped to improve TextTools, but the developer of this addon is busy, so I decided to create my own addon, in which I will realize more ambitious ideas, which is impossible with TT.

I copied and significantly improved a few operators and TT, but in everything else I try to listen to suggestions on forums and on the basis of which I have already made unique tools, and this is just the beginning....

Really handy addon, covers almost everything you need. Especially love the orient islands vertical/horizontal feature.

When performing Quadrify on parts of UV islands, the selected parts become separated from the unselected parts. However, this issue doesn't occur with Relax, which can maintain overall integrity. It would be perfect if quadrangulation could work like relaxation operations. This addon is very practical, thank you for your efforts.

Yes these are known issues, this behavior will be improved in the future, and also the behavior with triangles will be improved.
