While Blender allows you to assign custom Keymaps to the different Select Modes from Edit Mode, those keymaps are not accessible straight from Object Mode. With this very simple add-on, you will save some precious time.
To simplify usage, note that selection modes cannot be combined (use_extend = False)
For gaming/productivity mouse users, it becomes especially handy if you bind the keymap to one of your mouse buttons (the modifier key will take care of the rest).
Updated keymap handling for Blender 4.5+: Keymap management has been adjusted to support Blender 4.5 and later. Switching to the new system is recommended once Blender 4.5 is officially released.
This extension does not require special permissions.
