A small Blender add-on for changing an object's origin and local orientation while in Edit Mode. To use Orient to Selected, switch to Local Space, select some geometry, and press Orient to Selected in the orientation dropdown. For Origin to Selected, go to Mesh -> Snap.

Orange Turbine you solved one of Blenders most annoying things to me at least, trying to extrude things along the faces when the normal is misaligned ( I used to edit the origin orientation to fix that), or aligning faces in a weird direction (scaling to 0 in a direction), anyway thanks so much you made my life so much easier !!
