Changelog

  • Fixed an issue where trying to bake an Armature with hidden bone collections would fail to bake the hidden jiggle bones.
  • Fixed an issue where non-jiggled in-between bones would have an unexpected Blend value.
  • Added a warning if Frame Dropping is enabled in playback, as the viewport simulation won't match the bake in that case.
  • New Scene Property: simulate_during_scrub
    • Accessible from the Global Jiggle Utilities panel.
    • Defaults to False, scrubbing the timeline no longer simulates jiggle.
    • Prevents the need to mash the Reset Physics operator, or work with Jiggle Physics disabled, while trying to key poses.
    • Pressing play on the timeline will simulate no matter what.

Changelog

  • Fixed issue where tip bones would pose incorrectly when scrubbing the timeline. And sometimes show up in bakes.
  • Fixed issue where baking preroll would sample animation data from before the baking range.
  • Added new parameter: jiggle_root_elasticity
    • Allows jiggle root bones to translate. This should make it easier to jiggle solo bones, as it uses a unique solve.
    • Option only appears when a jiggle root bone is the active selected bone.
    • Currently root virtual particles share the same jiggle parameters as their immediate leaf. This isn't perfect, but is a decent tradeoff on ease to configure.
  • Added new feature: Thanks to work by schroef, jiggle physics now supports saving and loading jiggle parameter presets!

Please be weary that Jiggle Physics is very dependent on the number of bones in a chain, as well as the frame-rate-- Presets are intended to be used as a starting point and tweaked.

Changelog

  • New DFS tree exploration algorithm that more accurately determines relationships between jiggle bones at any point in an Armature. This has severely reduced the speed of the system, but should be less buggy now.
  • Fixed bug where jiggle bone verlet settings would affect their "head" point rather than their intended "tail" point. Causing tips to be impossible to adjust, and roots to seemingly ignore settings.
  • Fixed posing bug where partial blend bones would not propagate their jiggle-parent's rotation changes.
  • Added detection for bones that are too close together, they are now treated as the "same" bone within the simulation. This will greatly stabilize certain rigs that use specific rigging tricks.

For current users:

Updating users will need to hit the Reset Physics button in order to flag all objects to regenerate their jiggle bone tags. And readjust their individual bone jiggle settings.

Never update major versions while you're in the middle of an animation!
