Changelog

  • New DFS tree exploration algorithm that more accurately determines relationships between jiggle bones at any point in an Armature. This has severely reduced the speed of the system, but should be less buggy now.
  • Fixed bug where jiggle bone verlet settings would affect their "head" point rather than their intended "tail" point. Causing tips to be impossible to adjust, and roots to seemingly ignore settings.
  • Fixed posing bug where partial blend bones would not propagate their jiggle-parent's rotation changes.
  • Added detection for bones that are too close together, they are now treated as the "same" bone within the simulation. This will greatly stabilize certain rigs that use specific rigging tricks.

For current users:

Updating users will need to hit the Reset Physics button in order to flag all objects to regenerate their jiggle bone tags. And readjust their individual bone jiggle settings.

Never update major versions while you're in the middle of an animation!

Changelog

  • Fixed a posing error when two separate jiggle bone leafs which shared an un-jiggled parent, and that bone had a jiggled parent, would pose incorrectly. For example if you tried to jiggle ears and a spine and nothing else on a character.

Changelog

Debug drawing has been replaced with a fully functional overlay.

  • Moved the debug button to debug toggles found within the overlay menu.
  • Ensured it works independently between separate 3d views.

overlays

Should be a lot more ergonomic for animators familiar with working in multiple views with various overlays enabled.

Another major version increase as old operators have been removed. This shouldn't affect you updating unless you set up custom keybinds.

Changelog

  • Most properties have been moved into PropertyGroups where possible.
  • Operators now use standard tags so that they can be bound by the user to keys.
  • Replaced warning operators with standard UI panel and operator pair.
  • Debug drawing hooks only initialize when the debug button is pressed rather than when Blender boots.

Major version bump as parameters and operators have changed signatures. Should work fine for most updating users beyond needing to re-set Collision information.

Changelog

This release adds collision support for empties and meshes! Recommended to use empties for collision as they are convex and are easy to de-penetrate from.

Changelog

Fixed issue where angle elasticity would have a minor effect on the length of bones.

This was particularly noticeable on singular bones.

Due to the change in the solve, I've incremented the minor version number as users might need to retweak their jiggle settings.
