  • Improved Windows hook management to reduce the risk of conflicts with other window procedures.
  • Fixed issues such as confirmation-space leaks, hidden preedit pollution, Baidu IME candidate window residue, and 3D Text space pollution.
  • Disabled shortcut IME avoidance by default to reduce impact on different IMEs.
  • Standardized the Blender add-on classes registration entry point to better match official extension review requirements.
  • Strengthened quick/full tests, manifest checks, zip content checks, and register/unregister smoke tests.

Changelog

Release v0.1.0 (Initial Release)

IMEBridge hooks Blender's window to integrate native OS Input Method Editor (IME) support. This allows typing with standard non-English input methods directly inside Blender text editors and 3D text objects.

Core Features

  • Cursor-relative Candidate Window: Positions the system IME candidate box directly beneath the active text cursor in the Text Editor and 3D Text edit modes.
  • Automatic English Fallback: Switches the input context to English automatically when the mouse hovers over shortcut-heavy areas (such as the 3D Viewport) to prevent key conflicts. The previous IME state is restored when the cursor returns to a text editor.
  • Seamless Activation: Automatically detects and hooks active Blender windows on startup without requiring manual toggling.
