Flat UV Mapper brings the rapid, CSG-style (e.g., Source Engine / Hammer Editor) texturing workflow directly into Blender's 3D Viewport. It is designed for level designers and hard-surface modelers who need to quickly apply, scale, align, and manipulate planar UV projections without ever opening the UV Editor.

Key Features:

  • Projection Modes: Choose between World-Axis Aligned (Hammer style) or Face-Normal Aligned planar projections.
  • Fast Alignment: Quickly justify textures to the Top, Bottom, Left, Right, or Center of a face, or Fit them perfectly to the bounds.
  • Aspect Ratio Compensation: Automatically adjust UV tiling to match the aspect ratio of your active material's texture, preventing stretching.
  • Copy & Paste UVs: Instantly copy UV offsets, scales, and rotations from one face and paste them onto others.
  • Align to Edge: Select an edge and automatically rotate your UVs to align perfectly with it.
  • Randomize UVs: Break up obvious repeating patterns on large surfaces (like brick walls or tiled floors) with randomized UV offsets and rotations.
  • Pie Menu Integration: Lightning-fast access to all tools via a dedicated Pie Menu (Default: Shift + Alt + U).
  • Live Apply: See your tile, offset, and rotation adjustments update in real-time.

Version 1.1.0 is a major feature expansion that transforms Flat UV Mapper into a complete CSG-style texturing toolkit.

New Features:

  • Copy & Paste UVs: Added dedicated operators to copy UV settings from one face and paste them to others, speeding up the mapping of adjacent walls.
  • Justification Tools: Added alignment buttons to instantly snap your texture to the Top, Bottom, Left, Right, or Center of the selected faces.
  • Aspect Ratio Compensation: Added a one-click button to automatically adjust UV scale to match the pixel aspect ratio of the active material's Image Texture.
  • Align to Edge: You can now select any edge and automatically align the UV rotation to its exact angle.
  • Randomize UVs: Added a randomizer tool that applies unique offsets (and optional 90-degree rotations) to each selected face, perfect for breaking up tiling repetition.
  • Flip U / Flip V: Added simple toggles to mirror textures horizontally or vertically.
  • Pie Menu: Introduced a new Pie Menu mapped to Shift + Alt + U in Edit Mode, providing instant access to all tools without needing the sidebar.
