- all instances of "apply modifiers" was replaced with bpy.data.meshes.new_from_object()
- if there is only a "basis" shape, it will remove this shape and apply the modifiers
- when rebuilding the new mesh, the "Basis" shape will use the exact name as the original mesh (rather than renaming it to "Basis")
- bpy.ops avoided for duplicating the objects (objects and data is copied)
- shape key properties are gathered dynamically rather than by name
- shape pinning avoids bpy.data
