It is a solid tool and I hope to see an official version added to Blender. This one has lots of settings, but many appear to be redundant, doing very little to change the result. It would be better if it were paired down to more concise set of options, with clearer labels and descriptions regarding their function and impact.
While the majority splits nicely, it rarely does a full split, sometimes creating pieces offset from the source and leaving large gaps where there should be a fracture piece. Even when randomizing, gaps tends to appear in the same areas.
