Thanks for the feedback! A ‘Keep Open’ option would indeed be ideal, but Blender’s UI limitations currently prevent it. If a workaround becomes possible in the future, I’ll add it.
Much better than normal, but the wireframe gizmos do not show for me.
I'm not sure what happened to you, maybe you should give feedback on GitHub?
I agree with the previous commentor, although it was useful for quick sculpting when no custom brushes are added. Also, burying brushes did hamper the speed. And now, with 4.3 and the new brushes as assets, the brush selector (even though it is a bit clunky), this addon is no longer necessary without further functionality updates.
This would be a great addon aside from one thing, it closes every time your mouse moves and clicks something else.
I would rather have an option to keep it up while renaming to help with large renaming projects. Fore example, I have a hundred collections for all of the game objects that will eventually be exported to various engines. Each collection has the main assets and their collision. The engine has a very specific naming convention for collision but the in house naming convention is also in flux. If I want to rename, I usually see how the files sort in explorer then adjust, then take that adjustment and change the naming doc to reflect the change, then the collection that holds the files... then all of the models within each collection. Imagine opening the simple rename dialog, copy the new name into the Replace field, then, with the panel still open, selecting the old name, copying that name, then pasting it in the Find field. Then running the script. Then onto the next. This would save hours and hours of time.
Right now, every time you need to copy names for this operation the dialog disappears, adding thousands of clicks and key binding presses for each pass at renaming.
When dealing with hundreds of thousands of files, these kinds of changes happen on occasion and I believe a check box that tells the panel not to close until it is unchecked would be awesome. This way, if you do not check this the dialog would function normally, but if you do and need this feature, it is there to assist.
I am currently renaming a host of things this week and having the dialog stay open would be killer! Now, I do not use it because it is faster to just copy/paste each name once the naming conventions are in place.
