Very easy to use and does the job. Search works fine, but if you use a generic search term, i.e. 'chiar', it takes a few seconds for the results to return.
It creates the geometry for the tree, including the planes for the leaves. Instructions state to select Generate Leaves but I don't see an option for that and the leaves render as planes. Not sure if that's a bug or I'm doing something wrong. using Blender 4.5.0

No this isn't a bug and unfortunately, the leaf model is only changeable on the node editor using the modifier at the moment.
I have it in the pipeline to handle leaf generation but as this is a revival of an old add-on, some of the way things were handled previously no longer work as expected.
I'll keep you posted on this feature though!
Edit: I've made a release for leaf generation. Please give it a go and let me know how it goes!

I was expecting to see the preview as I hovered over each object but I learned I need to select the object to see the preview.
If it did the preview when hovering then I'd give it 5 stars.
I initially wanted to implement the feature of automatically displaying thumbnails when hovering over objects, but during the actual development process, I haven't been able to achieve it yet. As a result, I had no choice but to change it to displaying thumbnails by clicking on objects. However, I will continue to monitor future developments to make this feature possible.
The hover-to-display preview feature has been implemented.
Used this twice. First time it did as expected and genetered a mp4 file but appended the frame range in the filename. Was not expecting that since you can specify the file name with extension. The completed mp4 file had far more compression than I expected, but there are some settings that can be changed to improve it - can't go back to see what setting I used. I noticed it did not retain the folder path for the images. Tried again using a different set of images and it crashed Blender. Unfortunately it also removed a few extensions I had installed including itself.

thank you for the feedback and sorry if it caused you problems. I changed some stuff in the addon which should fix your issue.
Used the Investigation preset and works great. Already had a camera movement in place and this added the shake on top of it. Highly recommend.
