Can't believe I haven't written a review of Collection Manager yet. I've been using this add-on since about 2019 or so. It's become such a part of my workflow that I forget it's an add-on.
It wasn't until I used it that I realized how cumbersome managing collections had been without it. What used to require careful forethought where I'd make a collection, name it, then select things to add to it is instead, a simple matter of popping up an easy-to-use menu where all the complex operations are now visualized in their own window, away from the complexity of the outliner.
Moving things from one collection to another, for example, is a button click. Selection and wrangling of assets suddenly becomes manageable because you can use Blender's collection system as it was intended.
I could go on, but just get it and use it and you'll be happy you did.
Oh, and I should say the developer of this add-on is extremely knowledgeable about Blender and is very responsive to feedback.
