Yeah, unfortunately, this plugin fits a narrow use case. UI plugins like this are complicated when it comes to custom workspaces. I'll look into the slide out panel.
You can change the shortcut in Edit > Preferences > Keymap, but its just for the one shortcut.
Lots of options, but is not suitable for standard need of multiple scaled orthographic backdrops. While the add-on has the option to show an image only in a specific orthographic view, as soon as you pan, the image stays and the entire scene moves away from where it was lined up. I tried the lock functions and the other checkbox options, to no avail. I may have missed something, but some better documentation is needed. I would like to use this, but needs improvement.
I had an initial expected outcome that is obviously not the case. I assumed this would allow me add specific objects that could be added o any scene just like a primitive, except something of your own choice. Meaning it would save them somewhere in the user data preferences, and allow to add like the objects in the add menu.
If it is only to select or focus on items within the current file, that seems more like a viewport camera issue.
Sorry this didn’t meet your expectations. I’ve refined the description to avoid any confusion.
A great step towards a native NURBS and brep data workflow in Blender. I understand this is not yet complete, but do wonder if I am missing the way to edit individual control points or hulls on surfaces. I can reveal the "Polygon Cage", but this does not allow me to change the shape of the surface at the surface level. Not sure if this is a bug, or not yet implemented. Don't get me wrong, this is something I am really excited about, and is already further than any past attempt tp create any NURBS functionality. Keep it up!
I appreciate being able to isolate "Favorites", though its a but confusing that the main list still contains the favorites, and hides some modifiers I didn't ask to be hidden; making it so search s the only way to find them. When working on a team, some may not know what they need to look for, so having the full list, (*minus the favorites), is a necessity. Great add-on with features not found in any other similar add-ons!
I like the idea, but most of my workspaces have panels on both sides. It would be best if they would slide out when the mouse is near the edge where the desired slide out panel resides. Not sure if there would be a way to add another key shortcut such as Alt/Opt + Shift + T for the left side.
