In version 3.9.8 I messed up saving some of the add-on settings, but in the end I fixed it and even improved this part. Now you don't even need to save the file for the settings to be preserved. Naturally, this improvement also affects UV Checker. On top of that, in the next version I'm planning to add even more texture options for UV Checker. This planned improvement will be especially useful for level designers.
You can download the fixed version on Discord.
As for TexTools, I hope its current author shows up, because there's a lot of interesting stuff there besides UV-related features.
very cool Addon! One thing though, it's not very friendly to right click selectors, geo lift is impossible when the keymap is set to right click
If you are using right-click select in Blender, ensure that "Enable Right Click Select" is checked in ND's preferences under the General tab. This will update ND's internal mouse bindings for compatibility.
Would it be possible to link your github to the website page? I'd rather add an issue there rather than subscribing to you discord to create it.
Thank you for the review! I'll change it to github one of these days
hmm I tend to always check my LODs before exporting, and I use specific addons to export models to my game engine, this seems like an addon that would suit better being within blender (similar to Simplygon), rather than a whole fbx exporter.
This is really cool! Making these into a modal would be even cooler! Similar to how meshmachine and hardops do it, being able to see the changes live and switching between each mode could help users understand way fastr what works for them!
I will look into that but I need to take a breather from that plugin and I got a bunch of other plugins I am working on. You might also want to check out Mirror Across Plane. You have to go to Approval Queue to get it since it might not see the light of day.
An excellent spiritual successor to Textools! Would love to see somewhere in the Addon settings a place to set the default UV checker grid! (My workflow depends quite a bit on a UV grid with letters or arrows). Or even a way to cycle through them!
