I'm not even sure what the default is but, the reason I wouldn't encourage users to use system temp as autosave path is because on Linux, system temp gets nuked on computer restart! I know on Windows that's not the case, and on Mac I'm unsure. But in any case, something to keep in mind!

Omg thank you, because I was going to make one myself Because built-in blender autosave fine print be like "We can't save during edit mode, sculpt mode, nor texture paint mode"
Idk why local TEMP folder isn't the default in Native Autosave Path, but otherwise this is a simple must have addon
