Try v4.5.1, there was a few remaining bugs with blender 5.0 that should be resolved now in regards to changing settings. Though installation issues most likely has to do with something else.

Okay, it COULD just be an issue on my end, but it looks like the addon doesn't actually install when you try to install it through the drag and drop feature, but gets stuck on "Checking for extension updates". When I try downloading it manually, it gives me an error when I install it. It's possible it's broken in newer versions and needs an update. But yeah, I can't actually use it.
