XROMM is X-ray Reconstruction of Moving Morphology
This is a version of the XROMM Maya Tools (https://bitbucket.org/xromm/xromm_mayatools), but for blender
Download latest release here: https://github.com/pfalkingham/XROMM_BlenderTools/releases
Github link includes sample input data (https://github.com/pfalkingham/XROMM_BlenderTools/tree/main/SampleData)
Developed by Prof Peter Falkingham, https://peterfalkingham.com
Updated manifest. Version needed incrementing even though it hadn't been published/accepted yet (slight mismatch with version on github that will be resolved for v1)
This extension does not require special permissions.
Can you provide the necessary assets to test this add-on?
Here are a few suggestions for improvement:
User Interface
is not fitting since your add-on doesn't change or add functionality to the User Interface.I've added to the description a link to sample data hosted on the github repository for the project (https://github.com/pfalkingham/XROMM_BlenderTools/tree/main/SampleData)
I've updated the manifest so that it's much cleaner, and 'user interface' isn't present (it added panels to the UI so I thought that was relevant, but happy to remove).
Note that I can't see a way to overwrite an upload prior to approval, so I needed to create a new version here and there's now a small mismatch with the github version that is still at 0.9.1. This will be solved at v1.0.0 (which is just waiting on getting users to ensure everything works).
thanks!
Thanks for the sample data; it helped me a lot in testing the add-on!
The Mesh file was not in the sample data, so maybe include it if possible. It can help people learn your add-on. I used Suzanne as a replacement, but it was not ideal 😅.
Small note: I saw you are printing a lot of matrix data in the console. Maybe those prints can be removed as they are creating a lot of noise.
Awesome, thanks! I'll make sure objs get uploaded to sample data, and I'll take a look at cleaning up output!
Hey everyone,
Just a heads-up about a recent change regarding the licensing of add-ons on the Blender extension platform. Moving forward, all add-ons will need to be released under the GNU/GPL 3.0 license (SPDX:GPL-3.0-or-later). This is mainly to keep things simple and consistent across the board.
Previously, we accepted various licenses as long as they were compatible with Blender’s distribution. However, to avoid any confusion and streamline the process, all add-ons using the bpy API should now be presented as GPL 3 (the same license the Blender bundle is distributed). Regardless of whether the original code was under GPL 2, or something else like MIT or ZLIB.
Existing add-ons versions won't be affected. However, new updates will need to comply to the revised requirements.
Thanks for understanding, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
