This Add-on integrates various mesh fixing tools, enabling you to fix your mesh with simple clicks. It is primarily designed as 3D printing clean-up tool, which empowers you to adjust the fixing sequence to suit your specific needs. It cut out all redundant functions and only gives you what you need.

Little confused about this add-on. I add Suzanne, flip some face normals, and when I use add-ons Global Fix only with "Face Normal" selected and everything else disabled, and click AutoFix it completely changes mesh topology, as if it gets remeshed, and triangulates as a bonus. This is extremely destructive behavior. Why is that happening? This is nowhere near "repairing" the mesh.
Can you clarify the behavior? Why are you creating your own operator instead of using built-in flip normals there? What functionality is being added.
Additional notes:
Hi nickberckley,
Thank you for the advice. We've made a few changes to the extension and also created a GitHub page to collect user feedback. As requested, we have removed the links, and the extension no longer requests internet permissions.
We reviewed the 'destructive behavior' issue you mentioned, and here's why it occurred: This add-on was originally developed to fix mesh issues in STL files for 3D printing, which is why the Triangulate Operation was applied by default for every operation. Additionally, some mesh-fixing functions only work on triangulated meshes. Thank you for pointing this out. We have now added an option allowing users to decide whether to change the mesh type. To keep the mesh type unchanged, simply untick both the Tri Mesh and Quad Mesh options.
Kind regards, SineWave Team
Thanks what I thought as well. I would mention it in the description that this is primarily designed as 3D printing clean-up tool. For 3D printing people it would be good selling point, and people who are not familiar with it will avoid some confusions
