🏆 Dark UI with context-matching colors for selection, editing, and highlighting through all the editors. Useful theme for recording tutorials. You can quickly switch tabs, dropdown menus/selections, and vertical tabs through editors like the NLA, Dopesheet, VSE, or Movie Clip editor without losing the viewer's focus UI clicked selections.
Cleared extra parameters in the .toml fanifesto.
Hey Pierre, in version history you're using HTML format to insert a link to github, but it only recognizes Markdown. Can you use that format instead?
Hi. I can't edit the "release log" specifically to correct that markup link. Also, when the video (1920 x 1080) plays, there's a 10% cropping all around the video frame. Do I have to re-upload a new version just to get the "release log" corrected?
On my side, I'm able to edit the Version History. Maybe this is broken for Extension in the Approval Queue 🤔 Also, I think you have an issue with the .zip file. On Windows, I'm not able to unzip it. The folder in the .zip is missing. Maybe something happened when you uploaded the Theme. Try to re-upload the Extentien (you can convert it to a draft if you don't want to publish a new version)
The zip appeared after I ran : blender --command extension build, in the CMD (windows 10). Do I need to zip it otherwise? I also ran the blender --command extension validate, and my theme was validated without issues. In regards of the video preview upload being cropped by 10% in all 4 sides, is there anything else I need to check?
The unzipped folder, as explained in the guidelines, must contain the manifesto.toml and the theme.xml files. I'm not sure what else I need to do, @Victor Chedeville?
A.) I fixed the github link in version history. That's done. About .zipping using CMD for the theme to work: yes, I did that. I used: blender --command extension build B.) Yes, I can unzip it. I use 7.zip.
Also, the video preview plays in full screen (browser) only, without cropping (in Firefox: press F11, full-screen mode). So I suspect the iframe somehow doesn't resize the video preview for optimal playback inside the browser's current window size.
You can create a bug report here
For some reason on my side it works with 7Zip but not with Windows built-in unzip. Can you try right-clicking on the .zip and selecting Extract All... Also, try to rebuild the Extension and update it on the website, it could fix the issue.
In the Manifest file, you can remove the Commented lines for better readability (lines starting with a #).
Video cropping: Ok, I'll report Unzip issue: Repacked from CMD using Blender extension build Cleaned manifesto. Uploaded new (cleaned manifesto) version. Hopefully it will work now.
Thanks for reporting the video cropping issue, it has been fixed! After checking, the unzip issue came from how Blender compressed the extension. It's ok as the Theme works as expected with Blender.
Small thing you can update: You have a version difference between the .XML file name and the version inside the manifest
Yes, I tried to change the line "min version required 4.0.2" to something that can be on pair with the addon version, but it would not let me. When compiling by CMD it threw an error.
Is it possible to include a startup.blend file with the themes? Those contain the UI layout for the theme, boxes, sliders. Also: A basic config.blend would be so much helpful for text and other UI elements as part of the theme.
The blender_version_min = "4.2.0"
defines the minimum version required to use the extension. For example, if you use Blender 4.3, the theme will not be available in Blender 4.2.
The version of the theme itself is set in the version = "4.2.1"
line, which defines the version of your theme.
These two versions do not have to match.
Regarding your question about adding a startup file, this is not currently possible and I don't think it will be, as this would override all the user configurations. At the moment, Blender configurations are not mergeable.
Using "Blender" in the title goes against branding guidelines of Blender Institute. I'm sorry that this slipped the review and we have to ask you this now, but name of the extension has to be modified. Same goes for using word in thumbnail image, or using Bleder logo.
