Hi, About the brush not remaining in blends, it's because brushes belongs to the blend-data, not preferences.
So basically, they have nothing to do with the addon :)
It's the same thing as importing brushes manually, except the addon provide an automatic way.

What you can do to keep them around is simply adding them to your startup file, here is how:

• Use File > New then select the startup preset where you want them to remain.
• Add a GP object and import the brushes in draw mode, as you're use to (you can then remove the GP object, if you don't want it to stay in the startup scene)
• Use File > Defaults > Save Startup File.
• Done ;)

Important note: For Blender 4.3 and futures, download and install brush feature is removed. The new native asset system works very differently and it will allow to get online brush natively in the future without the need for any addon.

Hello, you're commenting about something related to Blender core (you said it yourself, "according to Brush Asset section in Blender 4.3 release note"). The asset brushes system and their behavior have nothing to do with the addon. You're complaining here about something you should just report as bug. When there is a crash involved, you should report on blender platform for blender stuff, or on addon repository's issues for addon stuff. The texture brush were never part of the addon, there was just a mean to download a pack quickly. As stated in last version update log, this is no longer needed as there will be soon an online asset library for said brushes.

Also, you are leaving a "review" with a notation when Blender is not even out of beta. Even if your request was legitimate, you can at least wait a bit after the release to let addon developers time to adjust to version changes.

If it was just that, I would not mind, but you barge in the wrong place, with the wrong assumption, leave the lowest note and then ask for help at the same time ? Considering all this, I suppose should consider myself lucky to be given one star out of five ! Cheers

Hi, sorry, you must have tried the 1.8.6 on blender 4.3 beta I forgot to limit maximum version to 4.2 on previous release. Now there is a new dedicated version for 4.3, you can update and this should be fixed. If possible, when you see those kinds of error, please report on the addon repository issues (you can still post here if you prefer to avoid creating a github account).
