CorteCloud Export
As a hobbyist furniture maker, I noticed that most software for MDF project design is paid. My journey began with a desire to build custom furniture for my home, starting with the assembly of my wall bed. After consulting with the team at GMAD, I was introduced to CorteCloud, which uses spreadsheet imports for cut plans.
This Blender extension aims to streamline the integration with CorteCloud by providing tools to easily create 3D furniture models and export them in compliance with CorteCloud’s specifications. Built on the powerful and open-source Blender, this extension offers features like:
- Environment Setup: Configure your scene for efficient modeling.
- Base Material Creation: Generate common MDF materials automatically.
- CSV Export: Export your designs in a CSV format compatible with CorteCloud’s cut plan system.
- Example Piece Creation: Quickly generate an example of a suspended drawer niche for easy prototyping.

hotfix: Ensure default file name in export modal to meet Blender Extensions store compliance
- Fixed issue where default CSV file name ("cortecloud-export-list.csv") was not appearing in the file select modal during export.
- Adjusted the invoke method to set the default file name before opening the file selection dialog, as required by Blender's UI standards.
- Ensured smoother user experience by automatically appending .csv extension if not provided by the user.
This update resolves compliance issues flagged by Blender Extensions store regarding default file naming behavior.

The only thing I think is missing is a guide or examples on how to prepare the hierarchy, how to use the materials, how to import on cortecloud, etc. I haven't figured out the holes yet.
